2. Exterior Features and Design

The Mustang Mach-E is a great car for those who want the look and feel of a Mustang GT without the gas emissions!

The Mach-E is a radical departure from the traditional Mustang, but it is still distinctly a Mustang.

It has the same long hood, short rear deck, and wide stance that have made the Mustang one of the most iconic cars ever. But the Mach-E is sleeker and more modern, with a fastback roofline and a sleek, SUV-like silhouette.

Mach-E keeps the iconic look of its predecessors with rounded headlights and taillights. The front grille and rear hatch feature the iconic Mustang logo, giving the car an instantly recognizable look.

Mach-E door handles are not the usual door handles. Each door has a button that gets unlocked when the key fob or phone a key gets close to the car.

You can then push the button and it activates a system that Ford calls “E-latch” to open the door.  The technology unlatches the door and opens it slightly. Then by grabbing the small door handle one can open the door completely. The small handle is only designed for the front doors.

The Mach-E is available in a variety of colors, so you can find one that best suits your style.

3. Interior Features And Design

1. Cloud-based connectivity and voice recognition triggered by conversation: This new SYNC system offers twice the power of previous models and can easily handle navigation, smartphone, and music. It is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

2. USB sockets, Bluetooth, and DAB radio at every seat: Never again will you have to hunt around for an outlet or turn your phone off so that it doesn’t die on a long drive! These ports let you keep everything charged up—even if it needs charging—while you’re driving down the road.

3. The Ford Mustang Mach-E comes with three different driving modes, Whisper, Engage, and Unbridled. The naming of them is creative and different from the common naming convention used. Engage is the basic or comfort mode. Unbridled is equivalent to the sports mode and Whisper is more like an eco mode.

4. A sunroof option: The Mustang has always known for its open-air feel since its inception in 1964; now, you can get even more fresh air with an optional sunroof feature that lets in even more light into your cabin while making sure your interior stays cool during hot summer months.

The panoramic sunroof is fixed, so all you have to do is enjoy the ride. But it’s coated with a material that protects from infrared light, which keeps the interior cool in summer and warm in winter. Inside, there’s also an inner layer that serves as protection from UV light.

5. Rear parking sensors that help you park in tight spaces and are also available as a feature on other models in the Mustang’s lineup.

6. SYNC can be customized with 8o settings, including seat position and cabin temperature. TomTom delivers real-time and predictive traffic info while Garmin offers in-cloud routing so you can relax while driving on the freeway. The driver can preplan the journey with the help of the FordPass app

7. SYNC Charge will help you find and navigate to public charging facilities, and even what level of charge you should expect from each one. It will also let you know when you need an immediate charge and how long it will take if your battery is low.

8. The cabin has ample rear-seat room and good cargo space. The boot takes up about 400 liters of baggage and on folding the seats can take up to 1420 liters.

To keep the luggage safe there are a lot of hooks and tie points. Three adults can sit easily in the back. Door bins are of adequate size. The seats are supportive and comfortable, and they offer decent side bolstering. The cabin is quiet, with only wind noise that’s a bit of a problem at highway speeds.

9. The front seats have a magazine holder which is quite practical for long drives. They also have a center console that has a cup holder and a compartment to store your phone. The seats are comfortable and have plenty of legroom.

10. Mach-E Audio System: it has a B & O audio system which is an excellent sound system. The speakers are hidden behind the mesh of the dashboard.

In the audio setting section, you can find a lot of cool features to adjust the sound system. Right at the top, you can find a Tone setting section where you can adjust the three options of Treble, Midrange, and Bass.

There is a reset button that you can go back to the default setting. The following section is Balance and Fade.  In the animated car item, you can move the focus of the sound system wherever location in the car. The other section is for Speed Compensated Volume. This item adjusts the volume of the music based on the speed you are driving. The last option on the page is the Sound mode. You can change it to either Stereo or Surround sound.

11. Another great feature of Mach-E is Phone As A Key technology: when you approach your Mustang Mach-E and unlock your phone, it detects your phone unlocking the car so you can start driving!

You can also enter a backup code into the keypad if you’re too far away from your phone to use it as a key. And if you happen to climb out while someone else is still driving? A chirpy tune will chime and switch off the vehicle automatically!

Of course, many other features make this car so incredible—including heated and powered driver and front passenger seats; heated steering wheel; heated windscreen; wireless charging pad; optional one-pedal drive;

4. Mustang Mach-E Motors

The rear wheel and the all-wheel drive are powered by permanent magnet motors.

The drivetrain offered is the rear wheel and all-wheel drive versions that use a single or dual motor configuration with different power outputs using a single or dual motor, with standard or extended-range battery packs

Rear-wheel models use an oil-cooled synchronous electric motor placed on the rear axle; it is supported by an additional motor mounted in line with the front axle in all-wheel drive trains.

The standard rear-wheel-drive version offers 266 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, while the all-wheel variant matches the horsepower and increases torque to 428 lb-ft. The GT version peaks at 634 lb-ft of torque.

5. Mach-E Battery

It is available either in a 288-cell, 70 kWh standard range configuration or a 376-cell, 91 kWh extended range version. The crash absorption structure will protect the high modular battery packs from damage in the event of a crash.

In the Mustang Mach-E portion of the battery is used for producing energy for interior functionalities, for example, the cooling system.

The consumption of batteries for these purposes is about 5% of the battery capacity on average.

The battery temperature is controlled by an active liquid heating and cooling system. This system is highly tested and regulated to deliver the best performance in extreme weather.
